Our breakfast at Moorings Bed & Breakfast was outstanding. Every morning, we were greeted with a freshly cooked plate of delicious food, tailored to our preferences. The Stornoway Black pudding was a highlight. We loved chatting with the other guests and found Andrew, the host, and his partner to be extremely friendly and funny. The cozy room was spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The overall atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, with personal touches throughout the property. The dogs were a delightful addition. Our stay at Moorings Bed & Breakfast was definitely worth the money, and we highly recommend it.

The hotel is in a nice quiet location, with beautiful gardens and a view of the castle. The rooms are comfortable with very comfortable beds and good facilities. The breakfast is delicious with quality local ingredients, including the perfectly cooked fresh food and the tasty Stornoway black pudding.

The location was absolutely fantastic, with stunning views from our bedroom window. We also loved how friendly and helpful the owner was, going out of their way to make us feel welcome. the breakfasts were delicious, especially the fresh raspberries and blueberries. And there were plenty of great eating places within walking distance.

my recent stay in tarbert was incredible. moorings bed & breakfast exceeded all expectations. the breakfast was the best i've ever had - freshly cooked and with plenty of options. the hosts, andrew and his partner, were friendly and funny, creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. the room was cozy, clean, and had a comfortable bed. a truly wonderful experience.

Bigger bed would've been nicer.

Spent Easter at this lovely spot and just loved it! the beds were ultra-comfy and the breakfast was tasty and hot. We also loved the beautiful gardens and the awesome puppet collection — so unique! Plus, the location was so convenient, only steps away from the ferry and tons of restaurants and pubs.

Our only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer! We had such a wonderful experience and wished we had been able to enjoy the charming atmosphere for a few extra days.

Loved the quirky and homely atmosphere, with low level lighting in the room for those midnight bathroom trips. the breakfast was simply perfect, freshly cooked and served on a warm plate. the selection was great, and the host catered to my specific preferences for the eggs. the location was ideal, just a short walk from the main street and with stunning views. the friendly dogs added a charming touch to the whole experience.
