I recently stayed at the ODG in Great Langdale and had a fantastic time. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were exceptionally comfortable, and the location was perfect for scenic walks. The bar had a great selection of real ale and I was lucky enough to stay during the folk festival, which was a lot of fun. The breakfast was lovely and the hotel had a charming character without being overly dated. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

my recent stay in great langdale was absolutely incredible thanks to old dungeon ghyll! the walks were breathtaking and the original building was charming. the food and cask beers were delicious, and the staff made me feel right at home. can't wait for my next visit!

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. The location of the hotel in the middle of the valley was amazing, allowing us to walk straight from the hotel to various tracks. We also enjoyed the good selection of beers in the bar.

I had a lovely weekend at the ODG with my partner and our dogs. The location was perfect for exploring the beautiful fells and the welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. The food and beer were excellent, and the friendly staff made us feel like part of the family. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful, setting us up for a day of hiking. We also enjoyed the all-evening folk session in the courtyard, adding to the unique charm of the place. I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

I had a fantastic stay at Old Dungeon Ghyll! the breakfast options were perfect for a day of walking or traveling, and pre-ordering the day before was convenient. the packed lunch was fantastic, and I especially loved the surprise traybake. the cozy room with the fireplace was the perfect way to end each day. the staff made me feel extremely welcome as a solo guest, and the room itself was fantastic. the RAF flypast was an unexpected treat. I can't wait to come back!

Located in the heart of picturesque countryside and surrounded by stunning natural beauty, this hotel offers an ideal base for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts. the proximity to various walking trails and scenic views is a major advantage.

Although the food was homemade and delicious, we found the menu to be quite limited, especially for vegetarians.

For Christmas we had an incredibly enjoyable stay at a hotel. the food offered at the hotel was fantastic, and we were so impressed by the variety of options at both breakfast and dinner. the location was also ideal, situated close to the town center and with easy access to public transportation. One of the best things about the hotel was the beautifully decorated Christmas tree which created a festive atmosphere.

While the decor was charming, the cleanliness of the surroundings was lacking. the staff did not seem particularly helpful or friendly.

I recently stayed at the O.D.G for four days and it was truly charming. The location is amazing, with classic walks right from the front door. The staff, particularly Kim, Cameron, and the blonde-haired Kim, were friendly and helpful despite the current travel climate. The peaceful atmosphere, absence of TV and piped music, made for a relaxing stay. The breakfast was exceptional, with generous and high-quality ingredients. I also highly recommend their packed lunch offer for walkers. a wonderful experience.
