One of the best small country hotels we have ever stayed in. Good location, on a main road outside, with ample parking. Recently renovated, it has a lovely restaurant that also serves breakfasts. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Everything was spotlessly clean and beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was perfectly cooked. Highly recommend this lovely place.

The checking-in process can be slightly inconvenient, as the busy and small bar makes it difficult to access with luggage.

We had a wonderful experience at this refurbished pub. The stylish decorations and well-maintained beer garden created a relaxing atmosphere. The comfortable bed and good shower in our room made for a comfortable stay. The friendly staff provided excellent service, and the breakfast options were plentiful and of good quality. We also enjoyed the attention to detail, such as the complimentary toiletries and the decent car park. The location, although on a busy road, provided easy access to the village.

The food in the pub could have had larger portions and lived up to the fancy descriptions on the menu.

Had a fantastic family Christmas meal with 5 adults in December. the food was delicious and we enjoyed the 3-course meal, which ended with hot mince pies. the prices were reasonable for the high-quality food and service. the staff was really helpful and we never felt pressured to leave, even after spending nearly 3 hours. the venue was conveniently located and the ambiance was perfect for a Christmas dinner.

From the moment we arrived, the friendly and helpful staff made us feel welcome. the accommodation was top-notch, with clean and well-appointed rooms that exceeded our expectations. the beautiful setting added to the overall charm of the place. the highlight was definitely the delicious food and drinks, served both for dinner and breakfast. We were impressed with the quality and presentation of the meals, making it one of the best breakfasts we've ever had. We highly recommend a visit to this lovely place.

Lovely village location with a coop, tearooms, village hall, canal, and river. Modern, clean refreshing pub with excellent service. Friendly and welcoming staff and residents. Tastefully refurbished bedrooms with comfortable beds. Very clean and comfortable. Excellent cooked breakfast.
