I had a great stay at a lovely place with friendly and welcoming staff. The chalet-style accommodation was filled with high-class amenities, and the comfortable bed and great shower made me feel right at home. The bar prices were reasonable, and the ample free onsite parking was a bonus. I highly recommend this hotel.

Located on the outskirts of York, The Plough Inn offers a convenient and peaceful setting away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. The Chinese restaurant next door provides a delicious dining option for guests, with a beautiful 'new but traditional' look and feel throughout. The rooms are exceptionally clean, modern, and very comfortable, with large en suite facilities. The staff are friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant stay for families with children. The continental buffet breakfast offers plenty of choice and is constantly being replenished.

The TV controller in the room was not fully functioning and the premises' TV distribution system was poor, limiting the channels available for viewing.

The hotel had excellent attention to detail with slippers, safe deposit box, and complimentary beverages in the room. The Chinese restaurant next door was fantastic and the continental breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh fruits, cereals, and breads. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Amazing amenities like extra toothbrushes and complimentary toiletries. Good Wi-Fi and quality toilet paper, plus bottled water and toothbrush/combs provided.

I had a pleasant stay at a charming inn with a comfortable bed and high-quality toiletries. The private entrance to the rooms and ample parking made my stay convenient. The bar and restaurant were a nice touch, and there was a great selection of complimentary toiletries. The shower pressure was excellent. I would not hesitate to return.

We had such a fantastic stay at Plough Inn. the owner was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and happiness. the rooms were absolutely amazing - separate from the pub, they felt like a luxurious 5-star hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by all the amenities provided, such as a safe, slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste, comb. the attention to detail was impeccable, with an abundance of plug sockets in convenient locations. the bed and bedding were extremely comfortable, and the cleanliness of the room was outstanding. the front of house staff were also incredibly friendly, making us feel truly welcome during our stay. We even had the added bonus of a gym equipped with running machines, a cross trainer, a rowing machine, and a massage chair - perfect for unwinding after a long day. To top it all off, there was a delicious Chinese restaurant attached to the inn. the food was great, although it was a bit odd that they served my starter and main course together. we couldn't have asked for a better find.

our second visit to pocklington was even better than the first. the plough inn exceeded our expectations with its clean rooms, thoughtful amenities, and friendly staff. the enclosed veranda and little extras made our stay extra memorable.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the hotel facilities were top-notch. The parking was convenient, making it easy for me to unload and pack my car before leaving. The location, although on the outskirts of the city, was still close enough to York city centre for me to enjoy an evening out in the restaurant, which was clearly popular with locals too. The breakfast was varied and delicious, with hot elements made fresh to order. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, giving me a warm welcome upon arrival and ensuring that everything was done with a smile.

The newly refurbished rooms were really clean and comfortable to stay in. the staff were very friendly and accommodating, going out of their way to help us with a wardrobe emergency. the continental breakfast had nice hot and cold options on offer, and there was even a restaurant attached if needed. the hotel's location was convenient and easily accessible.

The main road was pretty close which could create some noise if you are a light sleeper. We had some trouble finding the hotel due to confusion with other Plough Inns in nearby villages.
