The staff at this hotel were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. The meals served in the restaurant were delicious and there was a great atmosphere. the location of the hotel was perfect for our needs, with convenient access to nearby attractions and amenities.

There were a few minor issues that could be improved upon. the toilet in our room was mounted on a panel rather than the wall, which made it move when seated.

Recently had a business trip where I stayed for two nights, and I was blown away by the experience. The rooms were fantastic with a great view and upkept to an extremely high standard. The location was perfect for me, close to all my meetings and spots to eat. The breakfast was truly exceptional, with a perfect variety that would make anyone happy. Plus, the staff was super friendly and helpful with whatever I needed.

Where to start? ! The only downside was the fact that the drinks at the hotel were expensive, and I wasn't given the option to purchase them late at night.

The Portland Ashington is perfectly located, with a popular pub nearby serving delicious food. It's also close to the Northumberland coast, making it easy to explore the stunning beaches. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with big TVs and all the amenities you might need. The staff are friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant stay.

The restaurant can get busy and understaffed at times, resulting in longer waits for food and drinks.

The Portland in Ashington is like staying with friends - friendly staff, attentive service, and a feeling of being looked after. The hotel and bar had a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, and the food in the restaurant was exceptional. Our room was clean, spacious, and had all the necessary amenities. We can't recommend this place enough and will definitely be returning in the future.

The breakfast offerings could have started a bit earlier on the weekends for those with morning plans.

The hotel provided excellent value for money, with affordable prices that included a delicious buffet breakfast. The staff were extremely attentive and went out of their way to be friendly and helpful, even offering to give a lift when taxis were unavailable. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, with basic amenities such as a kettle and WiFi. The location was convenient, situated on the main high street, making it easy to explore the surrounding area.
