From arrival to departure, I had a fantastic experience at this hotel. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and extremely helpful. The large and spacious room was impeccably clean and well presented. The location was ideal, right in the heart of the city, with easy access to public transport and the town centre. The hotel facilities were excellent, with a bar and restaurant downstairs that stayed open late and served a delicious breakfast in the morning. Also, having free parking provided was a great bonus.

Recently stayed at The Portland Hotel Wetherspoon for a weekend getaway. Was pleasantly surprised by the high standard and modernity of the hotel. The rooms were exceptionally clean and well-equipped, providing a comfortable stay. The location was ideal, being close to the town's market, restaurants, and attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the overall experience very warm and welcoming. An added bonus was the availability of affordable and predictable food from Weatherspoon's, as well as a fantastic breakfast selection downstairs. Will definitely be recommending Wetherspoon Hotels from now on!

The location was perfect, right in the town center and close to all the main facilities. It was also conveniently located near the train station, making it easy to explore the city and travel further afield. The hotel itself was very clean and had great facilities, including a bar downstairs. The staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay even better. we couldn't fault our experience.

I've stayed at this hotel a few times now and I have to say, it's simply great! The value for money is excellent, especially considering its central location in the heart of town. The attention to detail is impressive, from the spotless rooms to the massive and incredibly comfortable super king size bed. The staff are delightful and always go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Plus, the option to add breakfast for just £4 is a fantastic deal.

The only minor issue was having to summon staff to reception, but overall, everything was more than okay.

The food and drinks at the Wetherspoons downstairs were well-priced and delicious. it was a great value for money experience with nice extra touches like biscuits and bottled water.

The hotel is right in the centre, which is great for exploring Chesterfield without having to do too much walking. The bus station is also not far, making it convenient for transportation. Additionally, there is a bistro downstairs, so you don't have to go far for a meal.

The breakfast could be disappointing, with plates and food not being warm enough.

Although my overall experience was great, there were a couple of minor issues. there was no plug in the bathroom sink, which was reported to the management but couldn't be fixed during my two-day stay.

The room was decent and had nice freebies like tea and coffee. the location was also alright with a train station nearby. It was really cheap.
