The Railway Hotel in Haydon Bridge was a great value for the money. The room was lovely and comfortable, with a cozy bed that provided a great night's sleep. The location was attractive and close to points of interest like roman forts. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making my stay stress-free. The food, especially the tasty dishes served in the bistro, was delicious. And the atmosphere was great, creating a pleasant and relaxing experience.

The breakfast menu could have been improved by including cereals, which is something I usually expect.

We spent Christmas at this hotel and we were pleased with the friendly staff who were very welcoming. the hotel had a great location, near a local shop and a cashpoint, which was very handy. the room was nicely decorated and had all the important facilities, including a great shower and a comfortable bed. We enjoyed the cosy bar area with a log burner, where locals also came in. the hotel gave us welcome chocolates, which was a nice touch.

We were not informed in advance about the bistro closing on Wednesday evenings. the bathroom was very small, which made it challenging to use.

The curtains in the room were quite thin, which resulted in a lot of light coming in and disturbing my sleep. the beds were a bit too soft for my liking, as I prefer a firmer mattress.
