We stayed at a beautiful apartment at Roundthorn and had a truly comfortable and modern experience. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The location of the hotel offered breathtaking views of the area, and we enjoyed a leisurely walk to the nearby restaurants in town.

The hotel breakfast menu could benefit from a wider variety of bread options for toast. Though a minor issue, it would have been nice to have more choices in this aspect.

We had a lovely stay in a fantastic location, surrounded by beautiful scenery just outside of a charming little village. The room was clean and comfortable, with a modern bathroom and friendly service from the staff. The breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. We also enjoyed the convenience of having a local pub nearby, the Cross Keys, where we could grab a bite or a drink.

The Wi-Fi connection was a bit unreliable and slow at times.

Everything was very clean and well-maintained, with a highly polished finish. The rooms were spacious and the showers were excellent.

The rooms were extremely comfortable and of a high standard, offering a great night's sleep. the food at both dinner and breakfast was exceptional and offered good value for money. the staff were professional and friendly, making me feel at ease as a solo traveler. the location provided stunning views that I thoroughly enjoyed.

The dinner menu was a bit disappointing and lacked variety, while the toiletries in the room were limited. some of the finishing touches that are expected in a 5-star establishment were missing, which was a bit of a letdown.

I had an exceptional stay at this beautiful property. the staff at Roundthorn Country House & Luxury were amazing - they were friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. the dinner I had here was absolutely delicious. the views from the rooms were superb and the overall presentation of the rooms was outstanding. I particularly loved the Mews apartment I stayed in, which was spacious and well-equipped for self-catering. the location of the property in a lovely rural area was perfect for a relaxing getaway. I cannot thank the staff enough for making my husband's birthday celebration so memorable. We had a wonderful time.

Lovely big bathroom with separate large size shower and corner bath. We enjoyed the amazing views from the room, overlooking fields and distant hills. The bed was very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The exceptionally friendly staff made us feel welcome throughout our stay. And the takeaway breakfast was a nice touch, perfect for our early morning departure. we had a lovely stay at this hotel.

There was a minor issue with the waiting time for the food during the dinner buffet. the limited staff could be the reason for this but it didn't affect our overall experience.

The hotel, located in a picturesque setting, offered beautiful views and nice green surroundings. The cleanliness of the rooms, with large wardrobes and a large TV on the wall, was exceptional. The breakfast served was excellent with locally sourced ingredients. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

I recently revisited Roundthorn after several years and it was just as lovely as I remembered. The staff were great, the bedrooms were lovely, and the views were fantastic. The garden area has been improved and the evening menu changes were a pleasant surprise. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. a great stay with plans to return soon to fully enjoy the surroundings.

Great views from our room and the breakfast selection was good. the location was perfect for our romantic escape as it was quiet and secluded, ideal for a peaceful getaway.

The room was too compact and the furnishings were dated and uncomfortable. We had trouble controlling the temperature in the room and the curtains didn't cover the windows completely, letting in too much light in the morning.
