The location of this backpacker's hostel is perfect, right in the centre of town, just a stone's throw from the majestic cathedral and situated in the bustling market square. The room I stayed in was large, comfortable and had a light and airy atmosphere. The service provided by the staff was extremely helpful and attentive, always ensuring that reasonable requests were promptly addressed. Breakfast was served at the time I requested, and the menu offered a good variety of locally sourced produce. The pub downstairs also served delicious evening meals that were value for money. The Wi-Fi, although a bit weak on the top floor, can be easily accessed for free from the town.

The locks on the doors were quite difficult to open, which could be problematic in case of an emergency.

The shower in the bathroom was also fantastic. Despite being located in the center of town and above a pub, the room was surprisingly quiet. The hotel's location was perfect for exploring the nearby cathedral and town. The dinner served at the hotel was delicious, and the cooked breakfast in the morning was equally satisfying. I had a positive experience at Royal Oak Ripon Bed & Breakfast, and I would recommend it to others.

We were blown away by the incredible value for money at Royal Oak Ripon. The staff were friendly and chatty, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious! We couldn't have asked for more.

the room had been recently refurbished and it was evident in the modern and clean wet room, complete with a powerful shower. the large and comfortable bed provided a great night's sleep, and I appreciated the bonus of having a Dolce Gusto coffee machine in the room. the highlight, however, was the fantastic breakfast served at the B&B. the staff was incredibly friendly and efficient, providing a warm welcome. They even fulfilled our request for a room with a bath, which was much appreciated. it was a memorable and enjoyable stay.

The breakfast options were top-notch, with a fantastic full English breakfast cooked to perfection. There was a wide variety to choose from, and the quality of the food was superb. the central location was also a major plus, as it was just a short walk away from the cathedral and shops. It made exploring the area very convenient and enjoyable.

The room was on the smaller side, but it wasn't a major issue since we didn't spend much time in it. the shower seemed to have a mind of its own, feeling like a fire hose at times.

I got great value for my money at Royal Oak Ripon B&B. The room was top-notch, with a surprise bathtub in the ensuite. The location was super central, no need for a car, and the staff were friendly and helpful all around.

The breakfast could use a little improvement, especially the bacon.

The service provided by the staff was excellent, from the friendly and welcoming reception upon arrival to the faultless attention and friendliness throughout our stay. The room amenities were top-notch, including ironing facilities, heating, and free toiletries. We also enjoyed the comfort of the flat-screen TV and the convenience of the electric kettle. The dining area and bar/lounge were inviting spaces to relax and enjoy a delicious meal or a cocktail. we highly recommend this venue for its prime location, exceptional service, and comfortable amenities.

Charming hotel located in a lovely and bustling market town. the pub was very warm and welcoming. the breakfast was delicious and well-prepared with a lot of options to choose from. the staff was helpful and friendly. the hotel was conveniently located near Fountains Abbey/Studley Royal and Deer Park.

The price of the beer was high and the quality was not good, it had a strange and unpleasant taste and aroma. the cleanliness of the room was not ideal, the carpet and some areas were dusty and had hair on it.
