We had a fantastic stay in this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The breakfast was the best we've had during our travels, with a wide variety of options that were all enjoyable. We were also pleased that there was no extra charge for parking, unlike other hotels closer to the main town where there are meters. Additionally, the hotel's cleanliness was top-notch, and the facilities were in great condition. The location just outside of downtown was convenient for us, as we had a car and could easily explore the city.

We stayed at The Shandwick Inn for one night as a convenient stopover during our journey from the Orkney Islands to Elgin. The surprise of being allocated a little cottage instead of a standard room was a delightful touch. The cottage was cozy, clean, and provided ample space for our motorbike panniers. The continental breakfast, served in the cottage, was impressive with a delicious selection of cereals, fruit, muffins, croissants. The provision of a picnic basket, complete with a small fridge stocked with milk, fresh fruit juice, yogurt, meat, and cheese. a pleasant and unique stay.
