We sadly left the Somerville this morning after another relaxing, enjoyable stay. It is like home from home to us now. It is perfectly situated close to the town so if you feel like a walk down you are very close. We received a very warm welcome again. This time we stayed in a junior garden suite which was extremely quiet with a private patio. The breakfast menu has a wide choice of tasty dishes on it you will be spoilt for choice. Lovely fluffy omelettes, the best sausages ever, lovely large fresh mushrooms and thick cut bacon.

Would recommend this hotel.

We recently stayed at Somerville for a few days and had a wonderful time. The garden suite was beautifully decorated and kept spotless, exceeding our expectations for cleanliness. The hosts were exceptional, going above and beyond by even helping us with our luggage. The daily cake in the reception was a delightful treat. The breakfast had a great selection, all freshly made and delicious. The hosts provided us with valuable local knowledge and recommendations for dining and sightseeing. a lovely property with friendly hosts and convenient parking.

The Somerville in Torquay was a great choice for our summer holiday. The rooms were beautiful and had all the facilities we needed. The owners, Peter and Helen, were fantastic hosts and made us feel welcome. They gave us plenty of advice on where to go and what to do. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. We loved the fact that it catered to our budget as well. it was a wonderful experience and we would definitely stay here again.

The luxurious amenities and attention to detail in this hotel are truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with warm hospitality and prompt service. the in-room breakfast was a memorable experience, with the most delicious fresh produce served in our cozy suite with private facilities. the sun terrace was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful sea views.

The only minor issue we encountered was with the bar/lounge area. Although the service was friendly and the drinks were good, the area itself was quite small and uninviting.

As avid bike riders, we were thrilled to discover that The Somerville provided secure bike storage and even had a small workshop area for minor repairs. It was a fantastic perk for us and made our stay even more enjoyable.

Water pressure in shower disappointing.

We had a wonderful weekend staying at a boutique hotel in the heart of a charming seaside town. the breakfast spread was well-catered, boasting a range of tasty and healthy options to suit all dietary requirements. the location was unbeatable, just a short stroll away from the beach and a variety of shops and restaurants. the free parking was also a huge bonus, making it stress-free to explore the town on foot.

Although the hotel had plenty of charm, the rooms were on the small side and felt a bit cramped. There was also no lift, which made getting our luggage up to the room a bit of a workout.

The location of the hotel is excellent, only a short walk from the harbor where there are plenty of bars, pubs, and restaurants to choose from. The room we stayed in was beautifully clean and well-equipped, with extra touches like bathrobes and slippers. The breakfast was exceptional, cooked to order with fresh local ingredients. The hotel also had a lovely conservatory with fantastic views.

The parking facilities at the hotel were limited.
