The location of this hotel is unbeatable - right on the main street, in the heart of the town. We loved the fact that our room, the Garden Room, opened directly onto the beer garden at the rear of the hotel. It was so nice to relax outside and have easy access to the hotel. The service and housekeeping were top-notch, with our room being clean, bright, and well-appointed. The room amenities, such as the ironing facilities and tea and coffee facilities, were convenient and added to our comfort. The sitting area in the room was spacious and allowed us to unwind after a long day. We were also pleased to have free Wi-Fi in our rooms and a flat-screen TV with a carpeted floor for added comfort. The dining options in the restaurant were excellent, with a variety of choices on the menu. The staff should be commended for their pleasant and positive manner, making us feel welcome throughout our stay.

I had a lovely meal at the Turks Head. The waitress was friendly and attentive, making sure everything was to my liking. The starters were delicious, and my lamb shank main was tender and flavorful. The food arrived quickly and was piping hot. a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience.

The staff and locals at Turks Head were incredibly friendly. The beautiful countryside surrounding the hotel, particularly the hills and heather, made for superb scenery. The walking trails in the Cheviot Hills and Simonside Hills were some of the best in England. Despite arriving late and getting lost, we were warmly welcomed and offered drinks at the bar. Our room was quickly changed from two single beds to a double, and the staff even prepared a packed lunch for our early departure.

Spent xmas at a quaint hotel nearby a stunning National Trust property. the breakfasts were amazing - fresh and plentiful! Staff were jolly and provided ample info regarding nearby towns. the hotel had a great aura, warm and friendly.

Our room was quite cold and was in need of some extra heating TLC. Unfortunately, while there were facilities for playing board games and watching films, the TV was ancient and didn't work very well.

my recent stay in rothbury was amazing, but my stay at turks head truly surpassed all expectations. the staff were wonderful and the food was excellent value for money. the bedrooms were exceptionally clean and the breakfasts were delicious. highly recommend!
