Spotlessly clean, great food, excellent value. Comfy beds, ample hot water, and roomy en suite with fluffy towels. Mark & Francesca, the hosts, are excellent. Lovely accommodation within reach of tourist destinations. A gem in a superb setting, up there with the best we've ever stayed in.

During our stay at the Waterwheel, we were blown away by the beautiful gardens that surrounded the inn. It felt like a tranquil oasis, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We particularly enjoyed the peaceful evening walks to the smoking area, though we would suggest keeping the outside lights on a bit longer to avoid any mishaps on the steps. The room itself was exceptionally clean and charming, with a quaint waterwheel just outside. The hosts were incredibly thoughtful, providing endless supplies of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, toiletries. They even had a fridge for our convenience. The breakfast was a highlight of our stay, with a lovely host and a deliciously cooked meal. We were also impressed with the email they sent us before our arrival, sharing attractions and places of interest in the surrounding areas. Such a helpful gesture. The overall atmosphere of the inn was relaxed and enjoyable. I wholeheartedly recommend this delightful inn to anyone visiting the area.

As young people, we loved the variety of delicious food and drinks available at The Waterwheel. The breakfast was a generous and freshly cooked treat, while the evening meals were both tasty and affordable. The lovely gardens were a highlight, although the weather didn't allow us to fully enjoy them. The tea and coffee making facilities in the room were well thought out and the accessories were a nice touch. The location was perfect for visiting the Eden Project, as it was within walking distance of St Austell.

Spent my New Year here and can't recommend it enough! The rooms were incredible, super clean and we had a fantastic view of the beautiful gardens. The breakfast options were diverse and catered for all tastes. The location was perfect, centrally located and easy to visit the area's major attractions. Plus, the hosts were lovely and made our stay even more enjoyable.

Not being able to try the dinner options as the restaurant was closed during our stay. Would have loved to have tasted their dishes, but it gives us a reason to come back!

We had a fantastic stay at the Waterwheel! The garden is absolutely amazing, perfect for taking a leisurely walk around. The B&B itself was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We loved the variety of breakfast choices, it was great to have options beyond the traditional fried breakfast. The location was convenient for exploring Charlestown and the nearby coastline. a fabulous experience that we would definitely want to repeat!

our stopover in st austell was wonderful, but our recent stay at waterwheel was even better. the sound of the river from our room was enchanting, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. we had a magical experience discovering the hidden waterfall and holy well in the beautiful garden. definitely going back soon!
