The location is ideal as it is right in the center of the village and just a short walk away from the beautiful Alnmouth beach. The restaurant prices were comparable to other restaurants in the area, and the food was absolutely delicious. The lounge area was tastefully decorated and provided a cozy atmosphere to relax in. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the breakfast was excellent with a good variety of options. Our room was spacious and comfortable, complete with a wonderful shower and complimentary Bath House toiletries.

Parking can be a bit of an issue at times.

The hotel facilities were excellent, with a beautifully decorated lounge area to relax in. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The breakfast offered a fantastic choice and was delicious.

The food at dinner was exceptional and the set festive menu great value. the service at dinner was impeccable. the room was spacious, warm and comfortable, with delicious homemade shortbread biscuits. the staff were lovely and breakfast was stunningly good.

There were a few teething problems with dining reservations, drink orders, and the room not being cleaned on arrival. the noise from the restaurant and early morning delivery truck disrupted sleep.

We had a delightful stay at a charming place run by a fantastic team. the staff members were excellent, providing help whenever needed. the room decor was stylish, and the bed was very comfortable. the breakfasts and dinners were superb, offering a varied selection of tasty food. We also enjoyed Jonathan's excellent cocktails. the Whittling House provided a perfect stay, and we would definitely return.

I had a wonderful honeymoon stay at a charming place in Alnmouth. the staff at Whittling House were amazing, taking care of us throughout our entire stay. the restaurant served delicious meals, including a fantastic venison dish. Our room was spacious and cleaned daily. the location was perfect, with beautiful beaches nearby and plenty of nearby attractions to visit. it was a great base for a memorable break.

The food was absolutely fantastic, from the breakfast to the dinner in the restaurant. The staff were delightful and very friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. The hotel is conveniently located just a 2-minute walk from the beach, and it's also close to village shops, pubs, and restaurants.

It was a bit disappointing that the restaurant wasn't open during my stay, and it affected the quality of breakfast, which took quite a long time to be served. Additionally, the lack of hanging space in the closets was a letdown, as it would have been nice to have more space for dresses and suits.

I stayed at The Whittling House for a weekend getaway and it exceeded my expectations. The bathroom was a sheer delight, with exquisite design and luxurious amenities. The staff, especially Jill, were incredibly friendly and helpful. Despite being understaffed during breakfast, they remained cheerful and provided excellent service. The location on the main street was ideal, and it was the best hotel I stayed at in Northumberland.
