Excellent location adjacent to a famous historic house. Great value for money with lovely grounds. Helpful staff. Impressive old building. Superb breakfast and evening menu.

The location is fantastic, as it is very close to the centre of Stamford. You can easily explore the town and all its attractions. The room we stayed in was comfortable and well-appointed, with a spacious bed and a simple-to-operate shower. The service was friendly and knowledgeable, and the breakfast offered a good range of options, including freshly cooked main courses and a delicious fruit salad. The parking area was spacious and convenient.

Some aspects of the hotel were slightly tired, such as the carpet and fixtures in the rooms.

We had a fantastic stay at this luxurious hotel. The location was very good, just a short walk from the center of the lovely town. The staff were without exception friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with great amenities like heating and Wi-Fi. The bar/lounge area was really lovely, providing a perfect spot to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. The breakfast was outstanding, with a wide range of freshly cooked options to choose from. this place exceeded our expectations and provided enhanced comfort and quality services.

All in all, this place is excellent and on the whole deserves a good review.

We had a wonderful stay at The William Cecil in Stamford. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, making our experience truly memorable. Our room was excellent and the food, although a bit pricey, was delicious. The grounds and walking paths around the hotel were beautiful, adding to the overall charm. The hotel's location was perfect, within easy walking distance to the town center and Burghley House and Gardens. We couldn't have asked for a better stay.

As avid bike riders, we were thrilled to find ample bike storage and facilities at the hotel. The staff were also extremely helpful in recommending nearby cycling routes and providing maps.

The room was uncomfortable and noisy, facing a busy main road and with thin walls that allowed for noise from the adjoining room. the nets at the window were dirty and provided no privacy, as did the lack of plugs in the room.
