We had an amazing stay at Ulbster Arms! the staff were fantastic, working hard and always friendly. the hotel itself was modern, clean, and in an ideal location for exploring North East Scotland. Our room was spacious and cozy, with hot showers and a nice touch of local biscuits. the food was delicious, and the service was quick and friendly. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the bar area. We definitely recommend Ulbster Arms and would stay there again.

The location of this hotel is excellent for visiting north Caithness. With easy access to the main road, it's a great base for exploring the area. The rooms are nicely decorated with paintings and a charming view over the river. The basic amenities provided make for a comfortable and cozy retreat, even on a wet and windy November night. The staff at breakfast were very pleasant and served the well-presented local produce with a smile.

The hotel could benefit from a refurbishment to bring it up to a more modern standard.

I recently had a great stay at a charming hotel in the countryside. I was really impressed with the value for money. The prices were reasonable and affordable, especially considering the comfortable rooms on the top floor and the delicious breakfast that was included. The attention to detail was also noticeable, from the cozy roll-top bath in a separate bathroom to the comfy beds that ensured a good night's sleep. Finally, the location was perfect, right next to the river, offering beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere.

The hotel bar had a cozy atmosphere with lots of cool decorations related to fishing. the short wine list had some good options, and the staff was welcoming and friendly. We also loved the wicked desserts!

The breakfast was a bit rustic, and some of the food, like the sausage and eggs benedict, were not up to our standards. However, this was not a dealbreaker, and we enjoyed our stay overall.
