The location of this hotel is excellent and convenient for all the amenities. It is great being in the center of Bowness and only a couple of minutes walk from Windermere. The room we stayed in was perfect, close to all amenities and still quiet. It was spacious, with a good size bathroom, very clean, and had lovely extras of toiletries, hot drinks. Additionally, breakfast was amazing and just the thing to prepare for a full day's hiking. The options available were lovely, cooked to order the night before and the quality was great.

The location was fantastic, just a short walk to the lake and the shops and restaurants. the free parking nearby was a huge plus. I also loved the special little touches, like the free sherry and biscuits in the snug, and the homemade biscuits in the room upon arrival.

I struggled a bit with the bath not draining properly, but as soon as I reported it, the issue was sorted.

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The cleanliness was top-notch, and the rooms were spotless and well-maintained. We also appreciated the complimentary coffee/tea and biscuits, as well as the complementary sherry and biscuits in the evening. The breakfast was delicious, with freshly cooked options that were pre-ordered. Additionally, the location of the hotel was perfect, right in the heart of the city, within a few minutes walk to shops, pubs, and restaurants. We didn't need to use our car for three days as the town and lake were so close.
