We had a fantastic stay at a dog-friendly hostel called West Highland Lodge. the fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed, including cookers, microwaves, and a hot water urn. They even provided tea, coffee, and sugar, which was a nice touch. the TV lounge and dining area were comfortable and cozy. the showers were always piping hot, which was a great way to relax after a long day of hiking. the location was beautiful, surrounded by mountains and a serene lake. It was also conveniently close to the Ice Factor climbing centre and a well-stocked Co-Op. We also appreciated the separate drying room for our wet gear. for the price, this hostel was excellent and offered everything we needed.

The hostel is beautifully located above the main street, providing easy access to a supermarket. The staff is extremely friendly and informative, offering recommendations for restaurants and stores. The facilities are well-maintained, with modern and new bathrooms and kitchens. the owner ensures the comfort of guests and provides transportation from the check-in location to the lodge.

The walls in the hostel are extremely thin, so it's advisable to bring earplugs for a peaceful sleep.

As a solo traveler, I loved the friendly and welcoming atmosphere of the hostel. The check-in process was easy, even though I arrived after reception hours. The room was clean and cozy, perfect for a comfortable stay. The hostel had a fully equipped self-catering kitchen and a nice lounge with games, books, movies, and a TV. The bathrooms were clean and comfortable. a great place to stay.

Stayed at this lodge for the second time while hiking the West Highland Way. the facilities were excellent and the property offered lovely views. the kitchen was well-equipped and there was plenty of space to relax. the lodge was clean and the bed was comfortable. We even had the pleasure of spotting two young deer near the lodge in the morning.

I had a great experience staying at a lodge in a beautiful location. the facilities were good value for money, with surprisingly comfy beds. the hostel accommodated late arrivals, which was convenient for us. the kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast, and there was plenty of seating available. the host was friendly and tried to accommodate our request to stay together. the view from the lodge was breathtaking, and there was even a shortcut to the town if we didn't want to drive.
