Stayed here for a city trip and had a great experience. the rooms were warm, quiet and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. the breakfast was fantastic, with a healthy selection of fruits and an option for a full English. the location was convenient, close to town and easy access to transport into the city center. the owners were helpful and considerate, making our stay enjoyable.

The shared bathrooms were not ideal, as some guests were not clean. the cleaning of the bathrooms seemed rushed and not completely hygienic.

For the price we paid, we got great value for money at Wheldale. The room was comfortable, clean, and surprisingly spacious. The location was convenient, just a short walk from the town center. The staff, Donna and Paul, were incredibly welcoming and helpful, ensuring we had a fantastic stay. We were impressed with the separate entrance to the rooms, providing privacy and avoiding any disturbance from the bar area. We will definitely be returning to this place when visiting our friends in the future.

the price of the hotel was excellent, and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. the check-in process was quick and easy, and I received a warm welcome from the staff. the room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a lovely hot shower and great water pressure. I appreciated the tea making facilities and the biscuits provided. the complimentary breakfast had a lovely variety, although I didn't have the chance to try it. I found the hotel to be exceptional value for money and would gladly stay there again.

I stayed at Wheldale Hotel in Castleford for a working trip and it was perfect for my needs. The room was comfortable, with a nice wall design, and the heating system was just right. The breakfast was good and served on time, with fruit provided. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again if I need to.

We had a wonderful stay at a hotel opposite the rugby ground. the check-in process was quick and easy, and the staff were friendly. Our room had recently been refurbished with brand new furniture and the bed was very comfortable. We appreciated the Sky TV channels and the Nescafé coffee sticks provided. the breakfast was good, with a variety of options including fruit. a great experience and we would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at a hotel located in a dodgy area, quite isolated on the outskirts of the town center, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The room was spacious, well-decorated, and spotlessly clean. It had tea/coffee facilities, a good-sized desk, and comfortable seating. The en suite bathroom was the biggest I've ever seen, equipped with a shower, toilet, and wash hand basin. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast options were delicious. Despite the hotel's unappealing exterior, it was a great choice.

The metal 'fire escape' type stairs leading up to the room could be a challenge for some guests.
