We had a fantastic stay at Winchfawr Lodge! Our trip was for Bike Park Wales, which was conveniently located just a 5-minute drive away. The apartment had a stunning view and was clean and cozy. The owner was incredibly friendly and accommodating. They even provided a pull-out bed for our daughter, so we all slept comfortably. The toilet and bath were well-maintained, and we loved the secure bike lock-up and bike washing facilities. Free parking on-site was a bonus too. We would definitely stay here again!

Booked a hen party of 9 and had an excellent stay at Winchfawr Lodge. The family that owns it were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The lodges had great views, facilities, and were conveniently close to Cardiff and the Brecon Beacons. The drive was a bit steep but manageable, and the lodges were accessible. a fantastic experience that we would highly recommend!

The surrounding area of Merthyr Tydfil was also unappealing due to its industrial setting.

Communication with the host was slow and inefficient.

the country setting was breathtaking, especially the stunning view from the front yard overlooking the Merthyr Valley. the accommodation was impeccably clean and warm, perfect for our visiting family members. We were pleasantly surprised by how well-equipped the lodge was, providing everything we needed. the hosts, Nigel and his wife, were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making our experience even more enjoyable. Nigel was exactly the kind of host we wanted - available, helpful, but not intrusive. He quickly resolved a minor issue we had. the location of the lodge was also excellent, as it allowed us easy access to the Brecon Beacons and offered beautiful views from the nearby hill.
