stayed at a different place before in Longhope but Yew Tree exceeded expectations! Delicious food, spacious room, and friendly staff. Loved the courtyard seating too.

I recently stayed at a charming motel in Longhope called Yew Tree. The moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted by a friendly Welsh lady who not only checked me in but also assisted me with my luggage. The room, though small and simple, was all I needed for my weekend stay. It was spotlessly clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep.

While there were some minor drawbacks, such as the inconvenience of the stones on the walkway for wheeled suitcases, overall, the friendly and welcoming staff, along with the reasonably priced rooms, made my stay at Yew Tree a memorable one. I would gladly recommend this motel to anyone seeking a pleasant stay in Longhope.

I had a fantastic stay at Yew Tree At Longhope Motel. The room was clean and warm, and the hosts, Karen and Pete, were very friendly and welcoming. They even left us everything we needed for a nice cup of tea when we arrived late. The cooked breakfast was delicious, and the 32oz steak cooked by Pete was incredible. The staff were polite and the showers were great. it was a fulfilling and enjoyable experience. I can't wait to book again in the future.

Lovely place to stay, great value for money. Friendly staff and good food. the rooms were clean and well decorated. the shower was brilliant. the location was close to the Forest of Dean, which was convenient. the play area for children was a nice touch. the car park had ample spaces and there was a lovely beer garden. Despite being next to a main road, there was no traffic noise. a wonderful experience.

Breakfast was not available before 07:30, which was inconvenient for guests who needed to be in Gloucester early. No alternative or reduction was offered.

The family room was spacious, nicely decorated, and clean. The bar staff who checked me in were polite and welcoming. The evening meal was lovely, and the modern bathroom with a power shower was a nice touch. The motel also had a lovely play area for children and a seating area for adults. The atmosphere was welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The location was perfect, close to the Forest of Dean. I highly recommend this hotel for families and couples.

Nestled in the forest of dean, this hotel provided a tranquil and serene atmosphere, perfect for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Additionally, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring that all of our needs were met during our stay. Lastly, the breakfast was simply outstanding. With a variety of options to choose from and freshly ground coffee, it was the perfect start to the day.

We had a wonderful stay at The Yew Tree. The room was bright, spacious, and kept at a nice cool temperature. The evening meal offered excellent value, although the portions were a tad too generous. Parking was easy and the location was convenient. The current owners, though new, ran the place with such expertise and made us feel like long-time guests. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the option to park our motorcycles behind locked gates was a bonus. The restaurant served top-notch food, particularly their gammon steaks made with fresh local ingredients.

Beautiful area, 15 minutes from Gloucester. Decent-sized, simple bedroom with a 150 cm wide bed. Lovely, welcoming young girls at arrival and departure.

We were very happy with our choice and will definitely visit again. The food was amazing, and while it took a little while to be served due to fresh cooking and staff training, it was absolutely worth the wait. The portions were generous, and the staff were always willing to serve smaller portions upon request. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they dealt with any issues politely and promptly. we loved our time at the Yew Tree.
