The location of the hotel was excellent, with beautiful grounds surrounding it. It provided a peaceful and scenic environment for our city break. the staff were welcoming and friendly, always ready to assist us with any queries or needs we had. the cleanliness of the rooms and facilities also stood out, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Although the website mentioned a restaurant, it turned out to be just a supper club with limited choices. This meant we had to venture out and find other dining establishments nearby.

The walk back to the hotel from the pub is down an unlit road, which can be a bit inconvenient and potentially unsafe at night.

Had a quiet and peaceful xmas at this hotel. the staff were friendly and attentive. the food was basic but good value and exactly what I needed after a day of activities. the location was great, with stunning views over the lake and just a short cycle to the town.

Additionally, the option to order food from the reception was a convenient and satisfying solution after a long day of exploring. I highly recommend this hotel.

Neg: However, the rooms are quite run down and in need of renovation, with uncomfortable mattresses and shabby toilets.

The location near many beautiful places in the Lake District was convenient for exploring. the onsite facilities were comprehensive, including a well-equipped kitchen and ample parking. I especially enjoyed the friendly and helpful staff, who offered great recommendations for activities in the area.

While the staff were great, some parts of the property were in need of a little TLC. A few areas looked a bit run down and could use a fresh coat of paint.
