I stayed at this hotel for a few days while visiting family and running errands in the area. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet, despite being near a busy highway. The WiFi was great, and the flatscreen TV was a nice addition. The en suite fridge and microwave were convenient, and the combo heating and cooling unit worked well. The king bed was comfortable, and the nonsmoking room had no trace of smoke. The location was also ideal, with stores nearby and a great diner open 24 hours a day.

I needed a clean, inexpensive room reasonably close to downtown New Haven, preferably with a good, hot breakfast. American Inn nailed it. The room was spacious and well-kept, with a comfortable bed. The location was tranquil yet conveniently close to the interstate, with a supermarket, diner, and seafood restaurant within easy walking distance. The managers were helpful in securing a non-smoking room. Parking was right in front of the room, and the mini fridge and TV in the room were definite pluses. I would stay there again.

American Inn nailed it. Terrific WiFi, flatscreen TV, blackout curtains, en suite fridge and microwave, and quiet heating/cooling unit. The king bed was glorious and the room had no smoke smell.
