During my transit through Monterey, I stayed at the Victorian Inn and was pleased with its convenient location. Only 10km from the Monterey Peninsula and 95km from Morgan Hill Caltrain, it made for an easy stopover. The complimentary daily continental breakfast was a nice touch, and the renovated breakfast room provided a pleasant dining experience.

While the Victorian Inn had many positive features, the check-in process was a bit slow and lacked attentiveness from the staff. It took about 35 minutes to check in, and there was no assistance offered with our luggage, despite the multiple steps to reach our room.

The Victorian Inn was a delightful stay during my visit to Monterey. The room was immaculately clean and surprisingly quiet, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The hotel's convenient location made it easy for me to stroll to the nearby attractions, such as the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and explore the charming local restaurants with their inviting fireplaces and patios. I particularly enjoyed the cozy gas fireplace in the lobby, which added a warm ambience to the chilly summer evenings.

The only minor downside was the noise from the floor above. As I was staying on the 1st floor, I found it slightly bothersome to hear heavy footsteps from the guests on the floor above me.

Great staff and awesome location for walking to restaurants and nearby attractions.

The location of this inn was perfect for exploring the city. It was just a short walk to Cannery Row and the Monterey wharf, making it easy to visit the aquarium and enjoy family-friendly restaurants. Additionally, the large rooms were a plus, providing plenty of space for our family. We also appreciated the convenience of the easy garage parking.

One aspect that we didn't enjoy was the noise level in the hotel. the plumbing was loud, and we could hear other guests and staff at all hours of the day, especially at night.

During my xmas vacation at this hotel, we were offered complimentary breakfast and parking which was great. the location was perfect, with easy access to local shops and restaurants. the warm fireplaces in the lobby and the room made us feel cozy and at home.

Our experience was not great. the room was not clean upon arrival and we found hair on the bathroom floor.
