During my transit through Monterey, I stayed at the Victorian Inn and was pleased with its convenient location. Only 10km from the Monterey Peninsula and 95km from Morgan Hill Caltrain, it made for an easy stopover. The complimentary daily continental breakfast was a nice touch, and the renovated breakfast room provided a pleasant dining experience.

While the Victorian Inn had many positive features, the check-in process was a bit slow and lacked attentiveness from the staff. It took about 35 minutes to check in, and there was no assistance offered with our luggage, despite the multiple steps to reach our room.

The location of this inn was perfect for exploring the city. It was just a short walk to Cannery Row and the Monterey wharf, making it easy to visit the aquarium and enjoy family-friendly restaurants.
