Jen, the host, was such a great hostess, always checking in with us and offering great restaurant and local recommendations. The breakfast she made each morning was excellent - hot and delicious. The location is ideal for visiting nearby wineries and cider houses. The historic property has a charming and quaint atmosphere. We felt right at home and would definitely come back.

I recently stayed at Black Walnut in the Finger Lakes for a weekend getaway with my best friend. From the beautiful and lovingly restored old house to the delicious breakfast made with local ingredients, every detail was intentional. Jen, the host, was incredibly friendly and provided spot-on recommendations. The modern comforts of streaming services and reliable Wifi were a bonus, and the back garden was gorgeous. it was the perfect bed-and-breakfast experience.

Our stay at the Black Walnut was worth every penny. The room was cozy and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the Finger Lakes region. The staff, especially Jen, went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience.

Breakfast delights, though a bit more variety in the morning spread would have made it even better.

The location of the bed and breakfast was ideal, as it was close to all the different state parks, Cayuga Lake wineries, and the Finger Lakes area. We were able to explore and enjoy the beautiful surroundings thanks to the recommendations given by the innkeepers.

The lack of an en-suite bathroom in our room was a minor inconvenience.

The location of the B&B was perfect for our Easter getaway. It was conveniently situated near wineries, restaurants, and other attractions, making it easy to explore the area. the innkeepers provided maps and suggestions, which made our trip even more enjoyable. Additionally, the accommodations were comfortable and clean, with thoughtful details like bottled water, coffee, and tea provided in the room.

One of the downsides of our stay was the shared bathroom. Although it was private, it would have been more convenient to have an ensuite bathroom in our room.

We were warmly greeted by Leah upon arrival, who gave us a tour of the home. The Sunflower Suite was perfectly sized with a cozy sitting area. Leah provided maps and suggestions of wineries and restaurants. Breakfast cooked by Leah was delicious. We received a bag of goodies upon departure. I highly recommend this B&B for a weekend getaway.

The owner was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the area, suggesting amazing state parks and local activities that we otherwise would have missed.
