We loved our stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, with easy access to the beach and the Main Street shopping area. The hotel facilities were top-notch, with a cozy fireplace in our room and a lovely dining room for breakfast and afternoon tea. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always available when we needed assistance. Everything was spotlessly clean, and we felt right at home in this beautiful and luxurious hotel.

Now, onto the positive aspects. the staff were friendly, I'll give them that. They were polite and chatty, so at least I had some company during my stay. Also, the hotel was conveniently located close to downtown, so I didn't have to travel far to explore the area. Oh, and they had this in-room morning coffee service, which was a nice touch. It was great to wake up and have a fresh cup of coffee without even leaving the room. Overall though, I can't say I would stay here again.

The property and grounds were beautiful and quiet, and the location was very convenient to restaurants, shopping, and the National Seashore. Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. the breakfasts were delicious with lots of options, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The WiFi was a bit hit and miss around the buildings and required constant logging in. It would have been nice to have fruit readily available with the cereals in the breakfast room.

Such a cozy place to stay! Room with four poster bed and all the extras; dressing gowns, coffee machine, and even a gas fire. Little details like a cork screw in the room and offer of a glass of sherry/port in the evening made it special. Staff exceptionally friendly and attentive. Breakfast delicious. Loved it!

As youngsters, we absolutely loved the adventurous aura of the Captain's House Inn. The delicious and ever-changing breakfast menu was a big hit for us, and the proximity to the Main Street and beach made exploring easy and fun. The staff were friendly and the rooms felt luxurious yet homely, perfect for a young couple like us.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was perfect - just a short walk to the Main Street shopping area and close to restaurants. The cleanliness of the hotel was exceptional, and the staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. The hotel facilities were top-notch, with a beautiful pool and park-like grounds. The breakfast was to die for, with a different cordon bleu style egg dish served each morning. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I had a wonderful stay at this place. It's surrounded by picturesque gardens and is located within walking distance of the Main Street shopping area. The service was exceptional with room service and housekeeping being top-notch. The welcome drink was a nice touch and the room was equipped with heating, air conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, and a sitting area. I loved sitting outside on the patio with the garden furniture provided. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of special diet menus available. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made my leisure time at the swimming pool and sun loungers even more enjoyable. I was impressed by the range of activities available including cycling, golf course, yoga class, and board games. I highly recommend this hotel to my family.

The location is in a historic area with lovely gardens, perfect for anyone wanting to relax and explore the nearby village. The owners are knowledgeable and helpful, and when we had an issue with our room, they kindly upgraded us to a better one. A great place for a wonderful getaway.
