The location was fantastic, with easy access to Big Sur and hiking trails. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The cabin was rustic but comfortable, with a personal touch. The back patio was awesome and the room was clean. The bed was very comfortable and the heater worked great. I appreciated the option of choosing a cottage instead of staying in the inn, as it felt more like an Air BnB. The kitchenette had everything we needed, including wine glasses and plates. They even provided an extra pillow and blanket. it was a pleasant and convenient stay.

It was such a peaceful atmosphere and the location was perfect. Easy to get to with plenty of parking. the staff at Carmel River Inn was exceptional and the office lobby was beautifully decorated. They even provided treats and a comfy sheet for my dog! the area near the river had lovely walking trails and there were shops nearby along the highway. it was a fantastic experience and I would love to return for a future stay. We stayed at Carmel River Inn for a relaxing weekend getaway. The rustic cottages surrounded by well-maintained gardens were charming. Our cottage had a lovely fountain and the resident frogs provided a soothing chorus in the evening. The front desk staff, especially Michael, were professional and friendly. The accommodation was super clean, spacious, and had all the amenities we needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable. We were also delighted to have the company of Nikki, one of the resident cats, who made herself at home and added to the cozy atmosphere.
