We were given a different room than what we booked, and when I asked about it, the staff just brushed me off. Not to mention, the place felt dirty and neglected!

The staff was friendly and helpful, and the fire pits by the river were a great way to unwind. Our room was clean with a nice balcony to enjoy the creek view.

It wasn't inexpensive, but for what you get, it's still a fair deal.

Staying here gave me the chance to relax by the beautiful Roaring Fork creek while being just a short stroll away from bustling Gatlinburg, with major attractions like the Gatlinburg Space Needle, Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies, and Sweet Fanny Adams Theatre all within nearly 2 kilometers to explore at your leisure; the staff was super friendly and amenities like the little porch overlooking the river made each morning special as I sipped coffee with the sound of nature surrounding me, even though I wished there were a few more cooking supplies available for my stay.

Clean accommodations with all necessities. The unexpected fireplace was a highlight. the grounds are well-kept, although initial impressions of the surrounding area could use improvement. The responsiveness to our needs amid a personal tragedy showcased a commendable level of compassion. a renovation is overdue; the space feels dated. Lastly, communication post-checkout regarding a forgotten item has room for improvement. This spot is a hidden gem worth considering, just ensure you set your expectations appropriately.

The fire pits along the creek were a great touch for evening gatherings. the bed was not very comfortable, and the noise from the metal frame was disruptive. Temperature control was adequate. a peaceful environment, yet attention to cleanliness and minor details would enhance the experience.

One of the highlights was the clean and cozy cottage we stayed in. The location was ideal, close to town but still peaceful enough to relax. The front desk staff, especially the person in the orange shirt, was friendly and helpful during check-in, which made us feel welcome. On the downside, the fireplace in our room only worked for a short time, despite multiple attempts to fix it. The broken chair in the room was a bit of a funny mishap, but it definitely needed attention. The back porch could have used a good cleaning, as there were cobwebs and a lingering smoke smell when we first arrived. I appreciated the efforts of the staff in accommodating our rescheduling request due to a family emergency, showing compassion and understanding. the lack of amenities like paper towels, kitchen towels, and basic cooking supplies was a bit disappointing. It would have been nice to have more conveniences in the cabin, such as a spa or jacuzzi. Carr's Northside has potential with its great location and friendly staff, but there are areas that could use some improvement. I hope these small details are addressed for future visitors to enjoy their stay even more.

I loved having the entire cottage to myself, including a fireplace and a children's playground. The area is perfect for water adventures and exploring nature. Safety features made me feel secure.
