During my recent stay at a hotel in Michigan, I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent value I received. As a rewards member, I was upgraded to a larger room, which was perfect for our group of three friends. The room itself was spacious and had recently been renovated, with a comfortable king bed and a pull-out couch. One unique feature of the hotel was the small balcony, which we enjoyed.

Although the location wasn't within walking distance of many attractions, it was a short drive to various shopping and dining options. Despite a slight hiccup with the room not being cleaned during our two-night stay, the front desk staff handled the situation efficiently and offered us a bottle of water as an apology.

The hot tub and sauna were fantastic, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The cleaning staff, especially one lady whose name started with an A, were awesome. The bathroom was spacious, and the laundry facilities with the big whirlpool front loader washer and dryer were a great bonus. The staff at The Bistro/Starbucks were superb, helpful, and friendly. Check-in was efficient, and our ground floor room with direct patio access was delightful. The Starbucks inclusion with fresh coffee and breakfast items every morning was a major plus. The location felt safe and comfortable, despite being a bit of a drive from the city.

There were a few negatives to our stay. upon arriving at our room, there was a strong smell of marijuana.

Additionally, the location of the hotel was perfect for both business travelers and those attending nearby concerts or shopping at Somerset and Great Lakes Crossing. It was just a short 10-minute drive to these popular destinations. The hotel also had ample parking, which was convenient for me. Lastly, I must mention the staff who were incredibly friendly and helpful during my stay.

Some rooms near the elevator or ice machine could be noisy, so it's better to request a quieter room. the beds were small and hard, which may not be comfortable for everyone.

The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. I was impressed with the spacious room, comfortable bed, and the variety of pillow choices. The electronic charging outlets were a convenient feature. The hotel also had a pool and a gym, which I enjoyed using. The breakfast menu was different from typical Courtyard hotels, but it offered a delicious selection. I had a great experience and would highly recommend this hotel for a quality stay.
