The room was clean and well-stocked, with comfortable beds and functional heaters. Having a general store and restaurant on site was convenient, with a nice selection of groceries and delicious food options. The staff was pleasant and friendly.

We loved the convenient location close to the coast and next to the forest. The hotel facilities were great, especially the shop on site, which had everything we needed. The staff was friendly and even made a delicious latte for our morning drive. Additionally, the back patio of the restaurant had a beautiful ambiance with firepits and string lights.

I had a great stay at a well-located place in Big Sur. the resort offers a cool outdoor restaurant with fireplaces and even organizes music events. There is also a beautiful camping ground to explore. I wish I had more time to spend at Fernwood!

The bed was very soft and noisy, which made it difficult to sleep. the walls were paper thin and I could hear the neighbors next door, which affected my sleep quality.

We had a fantastic stay at a great little historic spot in the area. the room exceeded our expectations, with the added bonus of an additional room in the suite. the down comforters and gas stove heater were incredibly comforting, and we loved the strong shower pressure and lovely-smelling toiletries. the on-site restaurant lodge was a wonderful experience, with delicious food and friendly staff. Stayed at Fernwood Resort in the redwood forest for a weekend getaway. Loved the cozy fireplace and easy access to beautiful trails. The bar & grill had tasty vegetarian options and a great balcony overlooking the woods. The retro charm of the place was preserved, and we were greeted by wild turkeys outside our door. Playing fiddle in the bluegrass band and staying in the unique band room was a memorable experience. The location beside the river was tranquil and the surrounding atmosphere was cool. Will definitely stay here again if I can help it.

We stayed at Fernwood Resort for 2 nights and absolutely loved it! The location right off hwy 1 was so convenient for our travel purposes. The room was clean and cozy, ensuring a warm night's sleep. The retro charm of the resort in the redwood forest was truly unique and captivating. We even had the pleasure of being greeted by wild turkeys right outside our door! The lady at the reception desk was incredibly helpful and understanding, accommodating our change in plans due to an impending storm. The restaurant offered good value, and the bed was comfy. The hot water in the morning made for a relaxing shower. We would definitely stay here again if we come back.

the rooms were cute and the property had a vintage Americana vibe. the location was amazing, with easy access to trails and camping by the Big Sur river. the on-site store and restaurant had everything we needed, and the food was excellent. It was a great place for a cozy, old-school Big Sur experience. I would definitely stay there again.

I recently stayed at Fernwood in Big Sur for a relaxing getaway. The cabin-style rooms were adorable and the beds were super comfortable. The spacious bathroom was a plus, and everything was really clean. I loved the creek behind the property with campfire pits, perfect for cozy evenings. The on-site shop had reasonably priced items and had everything I needed. The location was stunning, with easy access to Pfeiffer beach and other tourist spots. Dinner at the restaurant was amazing and there was a nearby gas station for convenience.

I had an amazing stay at Fernwood Resort! Sleeping under the giant redwoods was a magical experience. The adventure tent was comfortable and the shared bathroom was private. The location is excellent, with easy access to hiking trails. The bar was a great place to relax and socialize, and the beer selection was superb. The staff were friendly, warm, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this hotel.
