The location of the hotel was perfect, just a short walk to restaurants and shops. Our room was beautifully furnished and comfortable, with a vintage charm that added to the experience. We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere on the wrap-around porch, sitting in the rocking chairs while sipping wine in the evening and coffee in the morning. Despite the small size, the bed was absolutely wonderful and provided a great night's sleep.

Guests can enjoy sitting in one of the many rocking chairs on the porch. Rooms are unique, but some have recently been updated. Bedding is comfortable and there is air conditioning.

There is no elevator in the hotel, which might make it difficult for some to go up the numerous stairs to the rooms.

I especially enjoyed spending time on the large porch, reading while my husband enjoyed fishing in the nearby waters.

The Gibson Inn in Apalachicola is a historic gem in a great location. Beautiful wrap around porch with rocking chairs and tables. Unique and character-filled rooms. Wonderful staff, clean rooms, and comfortable bed. Good bar and restaurant. Lovely historical aspect. Soft sheets and great pillows. Nice restaurant nearby with fresh fish and oysters.

As frequent chain hotel guests, my wife and I decided to step out of our comfort zone and give The Gibson Inn a try during our recent travels. We were thrilled with the charming ambiance and location of this local gem. The staff was genuinely attentive and the reception area, billiards room, and bar created a warm and social atmosphere. The hotel had a lot of charm and character, with a nice veranda where you could relax in rocking chairs. The room we stayed in was recently updated and looked really nice. It was also conveniently located within walking distance of downtown shops and restaurants.

One downside was that the restaurant closed earlier than we expected and there weren't many options for breakfast in the area. Additionally, there were some minor issues with the room, such as a bad smell and a door that didn't close properly.
