Just a real cozy spot, got to say! The decor was super funky, and I loved hangin' out in Henry's for some brews. Ope, had a hiccup with hot water, but the friendly staff made up for it. Just wish there'd been more cups in the bathroom, don’tcha know?

The location is undoubtedly a highlight, just a few steps from the university and surrounded by plenty of dining options, including great tapas. However, the room setup was quite cramped, with a sink in the sleeping area and limited space for luggage, which made moving around challenging. A noisy pre-game party added to the atmosphere, while the hotel managed the guests well, ensuring it didn't disrupt our nightly rest. Though the experience had its ups and downs, it wouldn't be my first choice for another stay.

It was just a fine choice for a passing visit in Berkeley with good price value. The charming room had a nice view of the Campanile, and I loved that there was a hot water kettle with instant coffee available. Make sure to check out Poindexter cafe downstairs for good coffee and breakfast options.

Consider exploring the local dining options on your own for a broader menu selection, as the on-site choices can sometimes be limited.
