We recently stayed at Hilton Garden Inn Downtown for a weekend getaway. The room was clean, spacious, and had a nice bathroom with great water pressure in the shower. We loved the view of the old capital, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Additionally, the hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of good restaurants and an independent movie theater. The happy hour at the 12th floor bar was a nice touch, and the linens on the king bed were wonderful. We also felt safe and secure with the protective parking structure. a fantastic stay!

The value for money at Hilton Garden was excellent, and our room was incredibly comfortable, clean, and spacious. The location was perfect, with everything we needed within walking distance. The staff was exceptional, from the friendly front desk gentlemen to the helpful ladies at breakfast.

The breakfast selection could be improved, particularly the coconut shrimp which was overcooked and the bruschetta which had wilted basil and old tomatoes.

As young families, we really enjoyed the rooftop restaurant and bar with its amazing views and delicious food and drinks.

The bathroom was well-lit with plenty of counter space. We also appreciated the open closet with ample storage and the floor-length mirror. The location was perfect for our business meeting downtown the next day. The friendly front desk staff added a nice touch to our stay. the facilities and amenities provided by Hilton Garden Inn Iowa City Downtown University were top-notch.

Great location in the heart of downtown, close to the university and plenty of restaurants and shops. The room was spacious and clean, with comfortable beds. The rooftop dining and bar was a highlight, with tasty food and drinks, friendly servers, and even entertainment.

Room cleanliness could have been better, as I found hair on the sink and what looked like dog hair on the comforter. Additionally, despite having the "do not disturb" sign on the door, housekeeping still knocked and called out.

The room at Hilton Garden was modern and tastefully decorated, with a comfortable bed and pillows. I enjoyed the made-to-order omelette breakfast for only $13. The bathroom was well-lit and the closet provided plenty of space. The hotel's rooftop dining and bar was a highlight, with delicious food and fantastic drinks. The location was also convenient, with everything in close proximity and a bonus parking garage.

On the downside, there were a few cleanliness issues in my room, such as hair on the sink and what looked like dog hair on the comforter. Additionally, the housekeeper disregarded the do not disturb sign and interrupted my stay.
