Additionally, the breakfast offered a good selection and there was a heated pool, which was a nice feature to enjoy during the stay.

One of the complaints mentioned was about a lack of supervision in the pool area, where young girls were being obnoxious and smoking cannabis in the sauna. It was suggested that the hotel needs more staff to monitor the facilities.

I always return for weekends at a hotel where staff once found my lost item. It has internet, free parking, fitness center, pool, sauna, and more. Everything suits me perfectly. I have no regrets staying here.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Houghton and I was extremely impressed. The cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding and the helpfulness of the staff was beyond my expectations. The pool area was spacious and relaxing, with a great hot tub and plenty of seating. The meeting room was comfortable and the desk attendant even went above and beyond by providing a knife for our cake. It's the perfect place for out of town guests or a relaxing staycation. I will definitely be returning. I highly recommend this hotel.

I had a great stay over New Year's at this hotel. the rooms were clean and comfortable, and I appreciated the late check-out option for my Zoom meeting. the location was convenient for accessing restaurants in the area and exploring both Houghton and Hancock. Additionally, the breakfast options were good, with a variety to choose from.

There were a few things that could have been better. the lack of soundproofing in certain areas was a downside.

Great location for enjoying the fall leaves and hiking trails in the area. the hotel is centrally located, making it easy to drive to Copper Harbor and other attractions. the staff was friendly and the rooms were clean, with daily housekeeping. the heated pool was a nice bonus, especially for those cooler autumn days. the free breakfast provided a good start to the day, and they even offered a late check-out option, which was helpful for my Zoom meeting.

The breakfast selection could have been better stocked, especially towards the end of the serving time. Some of the food options were already gone and there were no employees around to replenish them.
