The hotel is a newer building, which is a plus. The breakfast area was filthy and often out of food.

the hotel had some potential but the breakfast was an absolute nightmare with food unavailable. had to wait too long for basic items, like seriously? also, the staff just ignored my request for a room upgrade when obviously, i deserved better treatment, given the circumstances. i almost thought about giving a good review, but just couldn’t.

Saugerties is a treasure trove of local eats, and I devoured some amazing traditional Marche products that truly brought the flavors of the region to life. The room was super clean and comfy, really reflecting the high standards expected from a place like this.

However, the front desk could use a refresher on handling check-in requests—just a minor hiccup when they insisted on a king bed instead of the double queens I had booked. And breakfast? Quite limited even at 7:30 AM, could use a fresh twist!

Comfortable beds, friendly staff like chommies, and the brekkie had so many choices. We were sorted when we forgot a toothbrush—sharp-sharp service! The place feels lekker and it's near shopping and dining, so perfectly situated. Big thumbs up!

my recent stay at the holiday inn express was much better than my last visit to saugerties. the room was clean and comfortable, and i appreciated the fresh towels and bedding provided. overall, the hotel exceeded my expectations this time around.

I had a frustrating experience with the staff at check-in. The breakfast was a huge letdown, with limited choices even early in the morning. Additionally, the parking situation was tight, making it a hassle to get in and out of the vehicle, which added to my overall dissatisfaction during the stay.

Consider requesting a room away from the elevator for a quieter experience, as some rooms near it may have more foot traffic.

absolutely woudl ve been a decent stay, but the room was mostly clean, but not completely, with a bathtub lacking a stopper, what a letdown! the breakfast was underwhelming, and for a premium price, you'd expect better towels, but only two were provided. i was waiting for a room upgrade as a gesture of goodwill but of course that didn't happen.

The staff was helpful when I needed a toothbrush. Saugerties is an interesting area with shops and dining nearby, making it easy to find something to do. I appreciated having the time to relax after a long road trip.
