The location was perfect, just a short drive from downtown and easy to get affordable rides. the hotel's interior design was breathtaking, and there were thoughtful touches like a lobby coffee station. the periodic check-ins via text were a nice touch and added a personal feel to the stay.

There was minimal natural light in the room, which might feel a bit claustrophobic for some guests. the lack of on-site staff and housekeeping could be unsettling, as communication was only through anonymous texts.

Overall, a unique, welcoming, and sophisticated experience.

I always return for a romantic escape. Wonderful staff made evening plans memorable. the hotel is perfect - Wi-Fi, free parking, flat-screen TV, express check-in/out. It suits every need with cots, wheelchair access, air conditioning, and no smoking policy. I have no regrets.

We loved the unique and comfortable rooms at this beautiful hotel. The architectural details, like the skylight on the ceiling rafters, added to its charm. The robes provided were incredibly comfortable, and we were tempted to take one home with us. The goodie bag left in the room was a nice touch, and we appreciated having a Keurig for our coffee needs.

We felt immediately at home at The Russell and had no complaints at all.

Russell is a beautifully decorated hotel constructed inside a former church in East Nashville. Room sizes are generous, with beds made from church benches. the location is lovely, with trendy restaurants within walking distance. Free fresh coffee in the lobby and seamless check-in process.

There was no desk staff available to assist at all, giving the hotel a sense of inhospitality. there was no clear instruction on how to make up the sofa bed, and we had to search for linens.

Former church turned hotel in a quiet area with trendy restaurants nearby. Rooms are spacious with unique, reclaimed church furnishings. Lobby provides complimentary coffee and tea with snack tray in room. Beautiful stained glass windows and beam structure on upper floor common area. Supporting local and charitable business.

The room was spacious and comfortable, with a large bathroom that had plenty of counter space. The free parking was a great bonus, and the neighborhood felt safe and friendly. Plus, the nearby restaurants and bars were a convenient option for meals and drinks.

There weren't enough towels for all of us, and being 8 months pregnant, the lack of an elevator was a real challenge. We also struggled to find a dumpster for our trash and the small trash can in the room was not enough.
