We had a lovely time at the Holiday Inn Express Wilkes Barre East! The mini fridge in our room was a great feature for storing leftovers from nearby dinners. We also discovered the pool, which was a pleasant surprise, and wished we had brought our swimsuits to enjoy some family swimming time.

The breakfast area could use more seating.

However, the room showed its age with plenty of visible wear—stains on the walls and a hole in the carpet leading into the bathroom didn’t scream comfort. The only working elevator was a major inconvenience during peak times, and the winding road leading to the property was riddled with potholes.
