I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn in Elgin for a weekend getaway. The hotel exceeded my expectations in several ways. the on-site restaurant, Bennigans, served delicious food until after midnight, which was perfect for late-night cravings. The swimming pool was clean and conveniently open for longer hours than most hotels. The diverse breakfast options were great, although I would have liked to see more varied fruit. They quickly rectified the error and even gave us a discount and additional food vouchers to make up for any inconvenience. The room itself was quiet, well-appointed, and had a comfortable bed, high-quality linens, and a great bathroom. Additionally, the hotel remained clean and well-maintained despite a busy weekend with a large group of students. Although the staff seemed a bit understaffed, they were still friendly and accommodating.

We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. The staff was professional and even shoveled our car out after a snowstorm to ensure our safety. The rooms were nice and the bathrooms were roomy. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making sure our rooms were adjoining and storing my son's birthday cake before check-in.
