We were delighted with our stay at Hontoon Landing Resort. The Captains Quarters offered us a beautiful suite with a stunning balcony and the view of the Saint Johns river was mesmerizing. The staff, apart from one lady at the Deli cafe, were incredibly friendly and helpful. The 2-hour boat trip was a memorable experience, showcasing the natural beauty of the surroundings. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the nearby Shady Oak with great service and genuine interest in our experience. The resort offers comfortable rooms with lovely views, a deli, a store, a pool, and boat rides. The peaceful setting near Hontoon Island state park and DeLand provided plenty of options for the whole family to enjoy. I highly recommend this resort for a wonderful getaway.

The only downside was the noisy heater in the room, but it didn't detract from our overall experience. There was also an issue with the window locks in our room, which made us feel less secure.

We had an amazing Christmas getaway at this hidden gem! The resort's location on the river provided a beautiful and peaceful setting. The rooms were clean and well-equipped, and we loved having breakfast on the deck overlooking the marina. The boat tour was a highlight, where we saw a variety of wildlife. The convenience of having a deli onsite for meals was a bonus as well.

The only downside was the mattress in the master bedroom, it was extremely firm. However, we were able to switch with the kids and still get a good night's sleep.

We recently stayed at Hontoon for a relaxing getaway. The check-in process was easy with the help of a kind woman who gave great suggestions for exploring the area. Our room was meticulously clean with lovely views of the tranquil grounds and the river. The gorgeous bottle brush tree and beautiful birds added to the peaceful atmosphere. The staff, including the manager and the woman at check-out, were all very nice and friendly. We can't wait to go back and have already recommended it to our friends.

Despite the rainy weather, we enjoyed the community balcony with its amazing view of the river. The highlight of our stay was kayaking on the river, where we saw a variety of birds, animals, and even a deer on Hontoon Island. The Dockside Deli served delicious meals, especially their sandwiches and breakfast burritos. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful, making our experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Hontoon Landing Resort & Marina for a memorable Florida getaway.
