the carpets are absolutely threadbare, which is so chic in a not so chic way. also, the night check-in guy was clearly out to lunch the whole time. I should've received a room upgrade for that. I almost thought about giving this place a good review, but just couldn’t, what a tragedy.

Poor maintenance is evident with various issues like aging furnishings and inconsistent water pressure!!! Also, the absence of air conditioning might leave you sweating during warmer months when it could be expected!!! More attention to cleanliness would greatly enhance the experience!!!

the shower didn't seem to work (which was frustrating). the staff were super helpful and friendly. I loved the art on display (especially the DH Lawrence paintings! ). the location was perfect for walking around town and the room was quiet at night.

Location is fantastic right on the plaza surrounded by art galleries and unique shops. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful which made our stay enjoyable. The restaurant's breakfast was delightful adding to the experience.

Only downside was the uncomfortable bed.

Ope, this place was a peach! Right on the plaza, ya know? Staff was as friendly as could be, especially Omar at the front desk. The coffee in the lobby was just the thing I needed. I could hear the nightlife, but it wasn't too bad. Room was comfy enough. Can't wait to come back when I'm in Taos again!
