the renovations to the historic building were truly impressive. the rooms were bright, cheery, and very comfortable. the big windows allowed for a refreshing breeze, and the brand new bed and larger refrigerator were great additions. the highlight of my stay was definitely the 120-year-old Otis elevator, which somehow managed to be faster than any modern ones I've ridden in recent years. the $100 a night rate was an absolute steal, and I can only imagine that it will go up once the renovations are complete. I was also pleased to find that the hotel is conveniently located just 100 feet away from the bars on Kentucky Street.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The lobby reconstruction has great potential and exudes a certain old American charm. The rooms were clean, bright, and airy. The location of the hotel was excellent, with easy access to everything. The staff was unbelievably accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort during my stay. They even provided me with a mini fridge and cutlery when my takeout didn't come with any. The beautiful courtyard was a lovely place to relax on a sunny afternoon.

For the price we paid, Hotel Petaluma from Ascend Hotel Collection was a good deal. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was convenient since it was within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay.

The morning meal could be improved by adding some fresh bakery pastries and hot chocolate for the kids. A little touch of local organic farm to table foods would also be a nice addition to the breakfast experience.
