Convenient shuttle to downtown Newport.

Additionally, the hotel had a sauna, swimming pool, and whirlpool with heat lamps.

While the room was generally clean, I found a medicine cap under the bed, which was a bit disappointing. The electronic keys didn't work well, requiring multiple rekeying trips.

I also loved having a small fridge and microwave in the room. the central location of the hotel was perfect, just a short drive from beaches, golf courses, and our wedding venue.

I've stayed at Howard Johnson several times before and always enjoy my stay. The lobby is impressive and the staff are friendly. The room was spacious and very clean, with a comfortable bed and a good-sized fridge. The breakfast was really good, with a good variety of food. The hotel is in a quiet location, just 7 minutes from the city center. One of my favorite features was the cookies and tea in the lobby by the fireplace - a perfect way to unwind after a long day. The pool, jacuzzi, and sauna were also clean and worked perfectly.
