Best aspects of our stay were the stunning mountain views from our room and the delicious fine dining options offered at the hotel. the location was also a major advantage, being conveniently situated close to various attractions and activities. the spacious room provided ample comfort during our holiday.

Disliked that the cleanliness of the room could have been better, with the bathroom floor needing to be washed and the lamps being dusty. there was an empty beer bottle left in the room, indicating a lack of thorough cleaning.

We were able to explore nearby attractions like Lake Placid and Ausable Chasm easily. The hotel also had a lovely river view, which added to the peaceful and serene atmosphere. Additionally, the comfortable beds and abundance of pillows ensured a good night's sleep.

One downside was that there was no movie channel available on the television. We would have loved to indulge in some movie nights during our stay.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

The location was perfect for hikers, with nearby rock collecting opportunities. The bed was extremely comfortable and the rooms were clean. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful, even researching our rock collecting question online. The rustic look and feel of the resort added to the charm. The photos accurately represented the accommodations, with enough sleeping space for 7 people. The evening meals at the restaurant were delicious and the staff was friendly.

I had a perfect stay at The Hungry Trout! The location couldn't have been better, with stunning views of the Whiteface trails from my room window. It was so convenient to be just 1-mile away from the ski resort and only 200-yards from the Flume Trail for hiking. The room itself was spacious, clean, and had a cozy cabin-like feel, complete with a window overlooking the woods. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, making the check-in/out process smooth and contactless. I also appreciated the restaurant and pub next door, which was convenient for grabbing a bite to eat without having to drive to Lake Placid. I highly recommend The Hungry Trout and will definitely be returning on my next visit to the Adirondacks!
