As longer term business travelers, we found the John Day Motel to be a great value for the price. The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean, with a fridge and microwave for our convenience. They even surprised us with a bag of delicious homemade cookies for our journey. The motel is conveniently located on the main road, making it easy to find and eliminating the need for a detour. We will definitely choose to stay here again when passing through.

Great location in the heart of downtown, within walking distance to various food and drink establishments. the motel gave off a nostalgic vibe, reminding me of the Loraine Motel in Memphis. It had a vintage charm that I appreciated.

There were a few drawbacks to my stay. there was no ice machine available, and when I inquired at the front desk, they only had bags for two dollars.
