My stay at La Quinta By Wyndham Altoona Des Moines was convenient for a transit stop during my travels, with the nearest airport being a mere 16-minute drive away. The hotel's location near Adventureland Park made for a pleasant escape during my brief stay.

During our stay, the location was convenient and had an enjoyable modern style. The room was comfortable with a beautiful shower and water pressure. We appreciated the attached bathroom's art statement and mirrored light. The breakfast provided a sufficient variety. The fitness center was clean and it was easy to get our room keys.

The pool area was not inviting as reported by other guests.

Rooms are clean, modern, and spacious. Nice recliner and table with chairs for dining. Convenient location near a horse race track and a good steakhouse within walking distance. Baggage trolleys available for easy transportation of luggage. Comfortable bed. Gym facilities are enjoyable. Courteous and helpful staff. Convenient 12 PM check-out time.

Our recent stay at La Quinta in Altoona was fantastic. We were there for two nights and couldn't have been happier with our experience. The room was spacious and modern, with beautiful art statements like the door and mirrored light. The bed was very comfortable, although I would have preferred a smaller pillow. The shower had great water pressure and the Walt Whitman quote on the wall added a nice touch. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of options including omelets, sausages, waffles, and more. The staff was also exceptional, going above and beyond to fix a cable box issue we had. we had a great stay and would definitely return.

The breakfast offered delicious options and was a great way to start the day. the hotel's location was perfect for exploring the city and all its attractions as it was close to many popular spots. the gym was a great facility that provided a good workout.

There were a few negative aspects to our stay at this hotel. the room wasn't very clean.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The room was so homey with wood flooring and comfy beds. The TV was also the perfect size for relaxing. The staff was very kind and the whole place was well maintained. The indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi were also great to relax in after a long day. The location was a bit tricky to find, but once I arrived, I had no issues.

I would recommend this place to everyone!

Our room was cozy and comfortable, with a nice shower and a great lit mirror. We also enjoyed the hot breakfast options available each morning. The location was perfect for breaking up our long drive. we had a pleasant stay.

Spacious rooms. Tasty breakfast. Fun pool and long pool hours. Cozy beds and pillows. Good value for the price.

The rooms were really comfy and had everything we needed - a mini-refrigerator, microwave, and an HDTV. I felt right at home!

The only thing I didn't love was the desk setup, but that's just me.
