Comfortable stay with friendly staff

The Ponce St Augustine Hotel offers a lovely atmosphere with accommodating staff. Our room was clean and comfortable, though the WiFi was spotty and the door stuck occasionally. Enjoyed the pool area and its convenient location next to the Trolley shuttle. a pleasant experience!

The room was clean and cozy, perfect for a romantic getaway. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel special throughout our stay.

Our family had a blast exploring the top-notch historical attractions in the city, like the fascinating Pirate & Treasure Museum and the thrilling Castillo de San Marcos.

My wife says that a kids' play area would enhance the family experience.

During my xmas stay, the rooms were spacious with modern amenities, including an ice maker and tiled showers with dual heads. The property had a large pool and hot tub, plenty of seating, and even a gas fire pit for evening relaxation. The complimentary mocha lattes and cookies from 3 to 6 were a nice touch.

The small bathrooms and noisy surroundings, including a busy road and occasional train noise, were drawbacks. Limited dining options, with the on-site restaurant only open on weekends for breakfast, meant guests had to venture out for meals.

Location is a strong selling point—adjacent to the Welcome Center and a short drive to historic sites. Clean, comfortable room with stunning marsh views. Housekeeping was exceptional. The restaurant served delightful Cuban food, with portions ample enough to share. not everything was perfect. Noise from trains and motorcycles disrupted the peace, especially given we faced the tracks. My dog was unfairly called out for barking, despite being well-trained and justifiably alert. Check-in lacked warmth. No shower door resulted in a messy bathroom, and the dirty vent was concerning. While the service staff tried to rectify issues, expectations were high for the rate. With a few adjustments, this could be truly outstanding.

The bathroom was ridiculously cramped; I had to twist and turn just to fit in there. Plus, the noise from the busy road outside made it hard to relax—definitely not what I expected for the price we paid.

The room was clean and appeared recently updated, which was a pleasant surprise. The twin beds were small, more like pull-out cots, but it didn’t hinder our stay. Temperature control was adequate, keeping the room comfortable despite the loud AC. I felt safe with my pet, though the neighbors were a bit noisy until midnight. The handheld shower head was not very functional, and the grab bar location was awkward for my mother. The floors were not as clean as expected; a towel I used was surprisingly dirty. An overall comfortable experience with room for improvement.

Housekeeping was excellent, yet the room itself felt dated and damp, with pesky ants around. The value didn't match the price, especially with a closed restaurant and limited amenities during a busy weekend.

While the property can sleep six people, the sofa sleeper didn't fit the room correctly, creating a safety hazard when trying to pull it out. Another downside was the noisy highway nearby, making it unsafe to cross by foot. the location of the property was charming and the staff was helpful. I also appreciated the cleanliness of the room and the recently renovated bathrooms. The pool area was a nice touch as well, providing a relaxing spot to unwind. there were some areas that could be improved. The air conditioning unit had a moldy smell when running, which was quite unpleasant. The lack of storage space in the room for luggage was also inconvenient. the noise from passing trains at night was disruptive, impacting the quality of sleep. The Ponce has potential but could benefit from addressing the issues with room setup, air conditioning, and noise levels.

We easily walked to the old town and chilled by the river watching the cool trains go by. The free on, site parking was clutch, and the dog, friendly policy was dope. The pool and fire pit vibes were perfect for late, night hangs with the squad.

Yo, we wished there was a sick DJ spinning some tunes by the pool for some lit pool parties! 🔥.

The Old Jail had a great gift shop! The farmers market was lovely and unique. The downtown area is full of charm and history.

I enjoyed my stay at The Ponce St Augustine Hotel. Despite some noise near the main door, the pet-friendly atmosphere and proximity to downtown were great. Early check-in was a plus. Minor room cleanliness issues were handled promptly. Overall, a solid choice for the price. Will return.
