Excellent Location and Historic Charm

The location of the hotel is fantastic, with a view of the Alamo from my room and close proximity to the Riverwalk and Rivercenter Mall. the historic charm of the property adds to the overall experience. Improvements could be made in terms of the front desk staff's friendliness and responsiveness, as well as the overwhelming lobby scent during the holidays.

The hotel was in a super cool spot next to the Alamo and close to the happening part of the river walk. The historical vibes were awesome, and it felt like we were stepping back in time, especially with the bustling Menger Bar scene. The staff was top-notch, from the friendly server at the restaurant to the accommodating tour desk peeps; they made our stay extra special. The only bummer was a bit of miscommunication about restaurant reservations but didn't spoil the fun. 🌟

the location 🌟 was amazing! right next to the alamo and the riverwalk, everything was within walking distance. It felt like stepping back in time with the period furniture and historical decor. Only downside - 🍳 breakfast was meh, biscuits were cold.

The lobby is lovely and welcoming, with efficient valet parking. Staff are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. the breakfast buffet is generous, and the bed is very comfortable with effective blackout shades.

No microwave or fridge in the small room, with water issues in the shower and high parking fees.

Slow dining experience but friendly.

Let me tell ya, the Colombian coffee at the Menger is the stuff of legend—rich, bold, and utterly addictive! The historic charm and friendly staff are pure Texas hospitality at its finest. And those antique-filled nooks are perfect for a little time-travel daydreaming.

Now, about that mattress—it was a bit of a Texas two-step to get comfortable, but we managed a workaround. And those rogue metal rails?

The Menger Hotel in San Antonio offered a superb location in the heart of the city, with historical charm and stunning decor. The breakfast was delicious and reasonably priced, but parking costs were high. The hotel's relaxation facilities like the swimming pool and outdoor area added to our enjoyment, and being steps away from landmarks like The Alamo and the River Walk allowed for easy exploration and quality family time.

History at its finest! Loved the vintage charm, top-notch spa, and free upgrade to the Babe Ruth Suite. Location couldn't be better - walking distance to all the sights. Valet parking worth it. Only downside was a noisy utility room next to our room. a delightful stay!

The colonial room restaurant was an extraordinary place to enjoy a cozy meal. The vintage cocktails and the earlier-era atmosphere made me feel like I had stepped into a time machine. It was a delightful experience that added a touch of old-world charm to my stay.

The food at dinner was excellent, and the beds were super comfortable. The room size was also good, providing ample space for longer term business travelers.

The historical and architectural design of the hotel, combined with contemporary influences, created a unique and memorable atmosphere.

I had a short stay in town and wanted to make the most of it, and the hotel's location right next to the Alamo made it easy for me to explore. The tour buses were conveniently located across the square, allowing me to see different areas of the city. The hotel itself is stunning, with historical charm and beautiful decor. The staff was friendly and accommodating, even moving us to a new room when my granddaughter had an accident. I would definitely return if I find myself in the area again.
