The location of Microtel is excellent, with convenient shuttle service to RDU and nearby restaurants. the room was promptly changed when there was an issue with the TV, which was appreciated.

The water in the shower was cold. the keys deactivated every time we returned.

I found roaches and mold in my room, which was totally unacceptable.

The plane sounds were definitely noticeable, though I could still get some decent sleep. I really liked that the bathroom was clean and had strong water pressure. They provided decent shampoo and soap, which was nice. I noticed that the handicap accessible room did have some flaws. The shower chair was wobbly, which was a little disconcerting, and there was only one grab bar—more would definitely improve safety. Now here’s the kicker: no TV remote in my room! I had to call down to the front desk to get one; they really should double-check that kind of stuff before guests check in.
