Rented a room for a special birthday getaway with an ocean view. Confirmed details days prior, yet upon arrival, the hotel was overbooked. They offered complimentary drinks, which was nice, but the only available room had an inland view. Disappointed. The cleanliness left much to be desired. We found personal items from previous guests, raising serious hygiene concerns. The noise from plumbing above was disruptive. Location was excellent, but the overall experience was marred by misleading photos and inadequate upkeep. Staff responsiveness was lacking, and amenities fell short of expectations. This stay did not justify the price. Better options exist. A real letdown for a much-anticipated trip.

Staying here was a real treat with direct access to the beach, making it perfect for long strolls along the shore or enjoying the beautiful sounds of the ocean from my room, and it’s just about a 25-minute walk to the wonderful Monterey Bay Aquarium and the vibrant Cannery Row, which offers an array of shops and restaurants to explore; the hotel has a cozy feel and includes amenities like a heated pool (though my experience was mixed with it being out of order).

The room was old and dirty, and we found broken furniture. The A/C was noisy, rattling like crazy. For the price, I’ve stayed in much nicer places. Definitely wasn’t worth it!

The breathtaking ocean views from our upgraded room on the third floor were unforgettable. The bar on the fourth floor provided a perfect spot to relax by the fireplace.

The room was spacious, with an amazing view of the ocean. the décor felt outdated, featuring dull, damp walls that could use a fresh renovation. The bedding was a bit inadequate; a sheet wrapped around the duvet wasn't very cozy. Temperature control wasn't optimal, and it was chilly at night. The bathroom was cramped, making it difficult to move. Noise from outside was noticeable but not disruptive. while the location and view were fantastic, the room could greatly benefit from some upgrades and better attention to detail.

The views from our room were absolutely stunning, we couldn't get enough! We spent hours soaking in the ocean scenery with the shades up. The garden area with cornhole and fire pits was a lovely surprise, perfect for sunset vibes!

Everything about the location was near perfection—just a short stroll to the beach and breathtaking ocean views from the room. The staff offered some of the best hospitality I've experienced. the hotel is in the midst of renovations, which meant some inconveniences. The bathtub had plumbing issues, the A/C was noisy, and some common areas felt neglected. Our room needed a deep clean; the carpets were stained, and I found mold behind the headboard. For the cost, I expected better, but the beautiful setting and friendly staff made for a memorable stay despite the flaws.

The lack of heating or air conditioning made the room uncomfortable at times, especially during the chilly nights. the carpeted floor appeared quite worn and in need of replacement. On the bright side, the hotel did offer room service, which was convenient for a quick bite to eat. the absence of free toiletries was a letdown, as it's always nice to have those provided. The flat-screen TV was a nice touch, but the lack of a sitting area or comfortable chair made it difficult to relax and enjoy it fully. We also had issues with noisy fire alarms going off frequently during our stay, which was disruptive and unsettling. It would have been helpful if the hotel had informed us of any ongoing construction or maintenance work beforehand. Despite these flaws, the staff were friendly and accommodating, which helped to improve our overall experience.
